Days prior we will have the shingles/materials loaded onto your roof. The dump trailer will be parked on your driveway so the old shingles can be tossed directly into the bin. Our crews will arrive at 7 AM and begin by setting up tarps/dropsheets on the ground around the roof to prevent any nails or debris to be left over. The crew begins by setting up all necessary equipment/safety. We then begin stripping the old materials, which is then followed by an inspection of the decking (plywood underneath the shingles) to ensure there are no rotten boards. Once all protruding nails have been removed and decking is confirmed to be undamaged, we begin with replacing the metal drip edge to ensure the water enters the eaves troughing and doesn't travel up underneath the shingles. Then we do our ice and water shield along the eaves to prevent ice damming, followed by full underlayment. Smooth sailing from then on, we complete the shingling. After the project is completed we clean the entire jobsite with a broom, nail magnet, and vacuum to clean the eavestrough. Our site supervisor/lead will inspect all aspects of the roof as well as ground to ensure there is no mess, and the roof meets our standard of high quality.
