Warman's first village didn't last. It started in 1904 where two rail lines crossed, locals called it Diamond for the shape of the tracks, and it was renamed for the railway journalist Cy Warman. Fire went through in 1908, a tornado followed in 1910, most of Main Street was lost, and people rebuilt along Central Street.
By 1927 Warman had slipped back to hamlet status. It came back in the 1950s as one of the first bedroom communities for Saskatoon. Between 2011 and 2016 it was the fastest growing municipality in Canada, and it became a city on October 27, 2012. The 2021 census found 4,313 private dwellings there, 4,162 of them occupied, on 13.1 square kilometres, and the city went from 7,084 people in 2011 to 12,419 in 2021.
Warman stayed small until the 1950s. Most of it has gone up since, a big share after 2011. We don't do fencing, even when a storm claim includes it. We reach Warman, about 22 km north of Saskatoon, via Hwy 11 (Louis Riel Trail) and Hwy 305.
