The restoration itself
Once the claim is approved we strip the roof to the deck, check the plywood for rot, and rebuild it the way it should have been built: ice and water shield along the eaves to stop ice damming, full synthetic underlayment, new drip edge, GAF shingles, and proper ventilation. One storm request sent through this site described shingles lifted by wind until the nails popped, so they were held down only by the tabs beside them.
